Senior Portrait Photography in the Portland/Vancouver Metro area

Your senior year is a milestone worth celebrating. My portraits are designed to look timeless and true-to-life: natural expressions, clean editing, and authentic moments. You’ll look your best, without heavy stylization or filters that distract from who you really are.

Portraits for Senior Boys and All Seniors

While I specialize in senior portraits for young men, I proudly provide timeless, natural portraits for all seniors.

What to Expect on Session Day

Don’t like being in front of the camera? You are my people! Sessions are relaxed and simple, especially for those who don’t love being in front of the camera.

No fancy lighting, no smoke effects, no frills, no hard-to-set-up poses: just you and some natural light.

Because I already know many of my seniors through school and sports, the session often feels more comfortable than a typical portrait session.

For the best senior portraits, I find that a 60 minute session is the perfect time. It gives us enough time to get what we need, but it also doesn’t drag on.

We can photograph at any location you’d like in the Portland/Vancouver Metro area, but please keep in mind that additional locations within walking distance work best to maximize shooting time. And don’t worry: if you’re not sure where to shoot, I have plenty of great options to suggest.

Clothing and Hair

For senior guys, the best portraits happen when you look like yourself with just a little bit of polish. Solid colors and clean outfits photograph better than busy logos or patterns. A haircut about a week before the session works best so that it looks natural, and shoes matter more than most expect, so make sure they’re clean and in good condition.

Bring along a quick outfit change, jersey, sports equipment, musical instrument, or anything else if it's important to you (just keep in mind we'll be moving around quite a bit, so it needs to be easy to carry around). I'll guide you through simple, natural poses. Sessions may involve short walks, so comfortable shoes for getting around are smart. If the weather turns, we’ll simply reschedule at no cost.

The Process

Booking & Retainer
A signed contract (sent and signed electronically) and a 50% retainer secures your date. The balance is due 24 hours before your session.

The Session
We meet at an agreed upon place and time. For the best light, we’ll meet about an hour before sunset. Once we talk through the session and I answer all your questions, we’ll get to work right away. You’ll have plenty of direction to help you look natural and at ease.

Editing
Within two weeks, I’ll prepare a curated set of the strongest, most flattering images for review.

Review and Ordering Session
We’ll meet in person (or online if needed) so you can view your portraits, see sample products with your actual photograph, and order your prints.

Delivery
Orders typically arrive within 10 business days, printed on premium paper or archival canvas.

Prints & Products

Your portraits deserve to be displayed and shared with loved ones. For such a meaningful milestone, I provide prints crafted with the very best archival paper and canvas:

  • Juniper Baryta Rag Fine Art Paper prints in a range of sizes

  • Archival-Grade Canvas for ready-to-hang wall pieces

  • A la carte pricing on prints so that you can build a custom package your way

Presentation matters. Every order is delivered in premium packaging designed to protect your prints and create a memorable unboxing experience.

Additionally, for each image you order, a web-optimized digital image (2048px on the long edge, perfect for social media and texting to loved ones) is included at no additional cost.

Rescheduling & Flexibility

If weather or life gets in the way, don’t worry! Sessions can be rescheduled when needed. I’ll work with you to find a new date that fits.
